    This position is located in the Division of Decommissioning, Uranium Recovery and Waste Programs, Uranium Recovery and Materials Decommissioning Branch.  The supervisor is Bill Von Till.

    This position is Bargaining Unit.  This position requires up to minimal.

    Travel expenses associated with interview and/or relocation expenses associated with job offer may be paid.

    Selectee will be subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

    The successful candidate will perform the full range of Health Physicist duties. Such duties include but are not limited to:
    Performs detailed and complex evaluations relative to the radiological impacts on radiation workers and members of the public from proposed reclamation and decommissioning plans and radiological health and safety plans, including the identification of pertinent exposure sources and the estimation of probable exposures of individuals, worker groups, and members of the public. 

    Performs specialized technical analyses, requiring complex computations, to determine compliance with regulatory requirements. Reviews remediation and decommissioning plans and associated radiological surveys to determine if regulatory criteria are met.

    Serves as the lead health physicist in the review of environmental reports and the preparation of environmental assessments.

    Occasional travel - Minimal travel is associated with this position.
