    About the Position: Serves as Chief, Environmental Engineering Section. Work is in support of the District's Hazardous, Toxic, and Radiological Waste (HTRW) program in primarily a four western state area.

    • Ensure technical adequacy of plans, designs, and specifications for environmental engineering facilities related primarily to mitigation of liquid or solid sanitary, toxic or hazardous waste, and groundwater monitoring programs.
    • Position supervises and personally performs a broad range of duties supporting the Hazardous, Toxic and Radiological Waste (HTRW) program.
    • Prepare budgetary estimates and justifications to obtain program fiscal resources.
    • Ensure adherence to current environmental laws and regulations.
    • Present technical briefings on environmental projects and stays abreast of installation needs.
    • Incumbent is required to know, comply with, and promote prescribed safety rules and regulations.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Travel is required approximately 10-25% of the time.
