    You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the SDSS & Expeditionary Integration Branch; Combat Systems Engineering & Integration Division; Integrated Combat Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. If selected, you will serve as the SDSS Senior Technical Lead.

    • You will develop and implement future Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) vision.
    • You will contribute to long range planning related to current and future baseline development efforts, including the Navy's 30-year shipbuilding plan.
    • You will lead and manage Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Modernization and integration of weapons/missile technology, sensor technology, virtualization, threat updates, speed to fleet capabilities and test efforts during computer program development.
    • You will work closely with land based test sites, DT/OT events, test programs and system testing efforts by leading key systems engineering competency areas.
    • You will identify and manage risks to ensure sound system engineering practices are utilized towards providing a quality capability to the warfighter.
    • You will deepen operational relationships with other services, agencies, industry, allies and partners.
    • You will work closely with the sponsor to plan, develop, and negotiate tasking and funding.
    • You will represent NSWCDD with sponsor organizations and higher level management via written, oral and/or formal presentations.
