    Summary

    This position is with DMA Technical Services Component, Technical Operations Directorate at the overseas (OCONUS) hub sites. Technical Operations is responsible for applying statutory, regulatory and policy requirements to both the Administrative Network (A-Net) and the Broadcast Network (B-Net) infrastructure and edge protection systems and cybersecurity / information assurance (IA) enforcement.

    Responsibilities

    As an LEAD INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK/SYSANALYSIS) at the GS-2210-12 grade level, you will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Responsible for the management and maintenance of the virtual routing and forwarding environment for the Regional OCONUS hub site and regional affiliates.
    • Monitor network traffic to identify system anomalies and insure proper and accurate implementation of Information Assurance/Cybersecurity related tasks.
    • Serve as the Team Lead for the regional OCONUS Information Technology division serving multiple international joint service communities.
    • Integrate several hardware, software and/or computer related services to provide an integrated information system.
    • Utilize Enterprise Management Systems such as McAfee SIEM, Microsoft SCCM, and newer versions/systems of the same.
    • Perform network diagnostics tools to continually monitor the health and performance for the network from end to end.
    • Provide IT Service Desk support when needed.
    • Distribute team assignments among team members, up to the GS-11 level
    This position is designated as emergency essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent, or the designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position is designated "key," which requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall.
