    About the Position: This position is located at the Omaha District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, employs about 1,350 employees at projects and offices throughout a 700,000-square-mile area of the Missouri River Basin. The district office is located in downtown Omaha and is just blocks from the Missouri River and minutes from the city's wide array of parks, museums, historic sites, restaurants, recreation and entertainment venues.

    • Utilize a professional knowledge of natural, physical, and social sciences theories, practices and methodologies, as they relate to the natural and human environment.
    • Serve as technical expertise to evaluate Department of the Army (DA) permit application, compliance, and/or enforcement cases for activities in waters of the US and/or navigable waters of the US within the regulatory authority of the Clean Water Act.
    • Perform wetland delineations in accordance with Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and various other manuals.
    • Assist in the development of general permits.
    • Assist in the development of procedures to implement directives from higher authority.
    • Serve as a District representative on groups and task forces with missions of interest to the District and/or the regulatory program.
    • Complete assignments related to special regulatory initiatives directed toward effective, efficient, and consistent application of the regulatory program.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Temporary Travel Duty (TDY) up to 25%
