    Summary

    You will serve as a HEALTH PHYSICIST in the Corporate Radiological Training Branch (Code 2360.3) in the Nuclear Training Initiatives Division (Code 2360) of the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

    Responsibilities

    • You will develop, review, and revise instructional materials for courses or occupations in accordance with instructional systems design process.
    • You will serve as a team leader in the facilitation of training development teams of corporate customer process owners, subject matter experts, and others in the performance of corporate training development.
    • You will work with technical document owners to submit changes and maintain these documents in alignment with customer needs.
    • You will plan, organize and assure effective implementation and maintenance of health physics aspects of the radiation exposure reduction program for nuclear reactor plant repair and maintenance work.
    • You will provide expert radiological engineering and health physics advice to the corporation in connection with routine and non-routine radiological work.
    • You will serve as a consultant to shipyard management and other organizations inside and outside of the shipyard involving are of specialization.
