    As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you are responsible for designing, developing maintaining and managing specialized VA HR information systems (HRIS). In this position, you will:

    • Direct Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) functional activities associated with the development of specialized applications
    • Conduct HRIS systems comprehensive audits
    • Modify human resources systems to meet agency needs
    • Provide users with technical advice to increase performance
    • Oversee the work of the Shared Services Provider
    • Participate in third-part audits between human resources applications and systems of records
    • Manage the human resources applications consolidated service desk
    • Determine training needs for HRIS employees
    • Implement HRIS systems policies, procedures and processes to meet area of responsibilities
    • Advise senior leadership on changes to the HRIS system
    • Direct subordinates by assigning/reviewing work, establishing schedules, selecting applicants from vacancies, evaluating performance, rewarding/ disciplining employees, resolving complaints and identifying training needs

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
