    This position is located in the Crops branch with the Market and Trade Economics Division for the Economic Research Service (ERS).

    One vacancy is for a Feed Grains position in Washington, D.C.
    One vacancy is for a Specialty Crops position in Kansas City, MO.

    In this position, you will independently plan, conduct, and communicate complex market and economic outlook analysis and research on specialty crops (Kansas City, MO) or feed grains (Washington, D.C.) on a variety of projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a market outlook and analysis program for produce. The incumbent conducts outlook and research programs related to produce and/or feed grains that deal with current and emerging issues and problems.
    • Conducts complex economic research and analysis as well as maintain large databases.
    • Demonstrates skill in written and oral communication of economic concepts and research results.
    • Conduct relevant research on issues that are relevant to markets both domestically and internationally.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
