This position is located in the Office of Management (OM) of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), and reports directly to the Assistant IG for Management (AIGM). The incumbent serves as the Director of Human Resources for the OIG, and is responsible for organizing, leading, managing, and directing a full services human resources (HR) management program for the OIG that encompasses all major HR functions, programs, and servicesLearn more about this agency
As a Direct of Human Resources, you will:
-Serve as the principal technical authority and advisor to the Inspector General, the AIGM, and other OIG senior managers on the full range of HR management functions, programs, and activities.
-Provide staff leadership, advisory services, and direction for the planning, development, operation and evaluation of a comprehensive HR management program for the OIG.
-Furnish program guidance, leadership, and staff supervision to the HR staff.
-Ensure determinations and decisions concerning major policy and courses of action are consistent with laws, regulations, and policies governing the administration of HR and that the actual or probable impact on the work force in terms of morale, welfare, and productivity are considered in making decisions.
-Provide authoritative technical analysis and interpretation of Federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to HR management.
