    About the Position: These interdisciplinary positions are with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Military Programs Directorate located in Washington, D.C.; they will be filled on a permanent basis utilizing any of the nine occupational series listed below.The position requires a broad understanding of environmental engineering and scientific practices and principles, project management methods/techniques, and facilities engineering acquisition activities and service contracting methods.

    Responsibilities

    • Exercise program and project management methods/techniques applied to environmental cleanup and compliance programs and environmental missions.
    • Execute investigations and remedial responses to address Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste contamination and Unexploded Ordnance, Discarded Military Munitions, and Munitions Constituents to include Chemical Warfare Materiel.
    • Manage one or more facets of facilities engineering acquisition activities to include the planning, design, construction, and environmental management in support of environmental funded programs.

    25% or less - Travel is up to 20% of duty time for this position.
