    This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Research, Markets and Regulations Division, Office of Research. The purpose of this position is to provide analytical, research and technical support to economic and market research, policy development, and rule-making initiatives conducted by Research Markets and Regulation.

    As a Senior Research Analyst, you will:

    • Develop complex programming algorithms to extract data and/or manipulate databases to carry out complex data management projects and conduct complex and at times very complex mathematical and statistical calculations to support research and monitoring of policy developments data analysis.
    • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the development of primary data collections, including but not limited to surveys, randomized control trials and other trials in the field and lab, using complex and at times very complex research methods.
    • Train, lead, and provide direction to junior staff in the administration of shared databases.
    • Keep abreast of and write reports on economic, financial, or behavioral developments in market areas, and perform systematic collection, analysis and interpretation of economic, financial and statistical data to support findings.
