    The positions are located in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, Risk Assessment Division, Assessment Branch 6. If selected, you must work at the location stated in this announcement.  About OCSPP.

    Responsibilities

    At the entry level of this position, you will:

    - Provide technical support to senior level experts and subject matter specialists on industrial chemicals, genetically-engineered microorganisms, and nanomaterials;

    - Provide scientific or engineering support for environmental fate and transport and exposure assessment activities;

    - Provide technical support to identify environmental fate and transport, exposure, and risk-related research needs;

    - Provide support for the application of data storage and retrieval systems, methods, and models for assessing environmental fate and transport and exposure.

    When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.

    You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
