    This position of Chief of Staff with the Field Office Directorate in San Antonio, TX starts at a salary of  $127,707 GS-15 grade level, step 01, with pay potential to $166,024, GS-15 grade level, step 10.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct administrative programs including logistics, facilities and emergency management, congressional and stakeholder relations, and program evaluation in accordance policies established by USCIS HQ, the Regional Director, and District Director.
    • Serve as a senior-level expert and advisor on complex administrative and logistical matters. Formulate and initiate changes to policies and procedures that affect the work of others and major aspects of the program.
    • Maintain an awareness of external factors that affect the organization and ensure organizational goals are met through strategic resource planning, monitoring, and execution that minimizes costs and maximizes program efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop comprehensive short/long-term resource strategies/concrete objectives, plans and priorities, consistent with organizational goals and internal/external factors to support and enable mission requirements with potentially national impact.
    • Inspire, motivate and challenge others to maximize their potential; foster an environment that encourages a high performing workforce; model a high standard of conduct for others.
    • Plan work to be completed by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and set target dates for work completion. Coordinate, direct, and oversee subordinates and exercise significant responsibility in advising management officials.
    • Support expert staff at the district and field level responsible for comprehensive budget process from planning to execution, serve as a senior level expert and adviser on budget formulation and controls.
    • Develop and implement workforce management strategies around staffing, recruitment, and retention, conduct effective staffing analysis, acquisition funding, and performance monitoring.
