Serves as the principal advisor to the Division Director and participates fully with the Division Director in overall management of the Division of Industrial Innovation and Partnerships. Responsibilities include assistance in developing overall goals and objectives and in the planning and direction of division activities; participating in divisional budget preparation and justification; providing broad scientific and engineering guidance across the division’s disciplinary domain; representing division programs and interests to senior officials in government, academia, industry and other sectors; coordinating the division’s scientific and engineering activities within NSF and with other agencies and organizations; assisting the Division Director on both a policy and scientific level on issues, initiatives, and other matters pertaining to the division.
