Paralegal Specialist, PD# 33055A
Provides case and program management administrative and legal support specific to Employee Relations/Labor Relations (ER/LR) program work such as pleadings, advice, meetings and strategy. Provides direct administrative and legal services on case and/or program assignments. Gathers all relevant facts and information needed for case development and processing. Manages and prioritizes caseload and program duties. Negotiates settlements/compromises within authority. Completes reviews and renders decisions or forwards same to decision-maker. Keeps supervisors and attorneys informed of any potential issues. Prepares discovery, motions, memoranda, briefs, legal opinions and/or other written documents and communications needed in the delivery of accurate, timely and effective legal services. Drafts discovery, dispositive motions and other pleadings. Performs presentations and briefing materials for attorneys and supervisors. Maintains complete and accurate time and status entries in case management systems. Assists in follow ups required to complete work product. Prepares and manages systems for sharing information into case management systems. Sends interrogatory and production requests to client. Execute litigation hold process to ensure record retention and accessibility.
