Joining the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) means being part of the team focused on securing the Nation's physical and cyber infrastructure against threats to public health and safety, economy, and national security. In this position, you will be responsible for managing record's issues related to CISA programs and the application of the appropriate policies in accordance with federal records management laws, regulations and policies. Typical work assignments include:
- Providing guidance on the adequacy of documentation and creation and management of agency records.
- Researching and analyzing policy concepts and issues and best practices, routinely consulting with other organizations on Federal records management issues in order to recommend and/or develop new approaches to complex problems.
- Promoting effective business practices and innovative measures to increase the efficiency and support to leadership.
- Ensuring the coordination with agency program managers to ensure records creation.
- Providing technical and administrative support necessary for accomplishing the work of the office.
25% or less - You may will be required to be away from home in a travel status 1-5 nights per month.

QualificationsTo qualify for the Records and Information Management Specialist, GS-0308-09/11, you must meet one of the following qualifications listed below:
A. You qualify for the GS-09 grade level (starting salary $59,534.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the federal government performing all of the following duties:
- Researching policy concepts to recommend solutions to management issues.
- Preserving electronic records with historical significance while ensuring compliance.
- Ensuring records are properly transported to permanent record holding sites in accordance with company directives.
- Providing administrative duties to accomplish the efforts of the program.
B. Have successfully completed a master's degree, or two full years (36 semester hours or equivalent) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or possess a LL.B. or J.D., if related, from an accredited college or university in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Such fields include Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics and Management.

C. Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described in "A" and "B" above. If your education is currently described in quarter hours, convert them to semester hours by multiplying by 2/3rds. Then take number the number of months experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. C. Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience as described in "A" and "B" above. Convert quarter hours to semester hours by multiplying by 2/3rds.
