Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13), which is directly related to this line of work AND fluency in the English and Amharic languages with the ability to translate, write, edit, and broadcast in both languages . Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, applicants must demonstrate the following:
1. Experience servicing broadcasts local, regional, United States, and international news.
2. Experience with preparing original programming material for broadcast.
3. Experience with leading an team, and identifying developmental and training needs of employees.
4. Experience with directing the production of daily radio and television programming.
