    Summary

    The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is May to October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: 5/10/2020

    This position is located at Independence NHP in the Division of Asset Preservation and Maintenance in Philadelphia PA.

    The primary purpose of the position is to perform moderately heavy physical labor requiring the use of common hand tools and power equipment

    Responsibilities

    You will perform the following duties:

    Operate heavy power equipment such as lawn mowers, portable snow blowers, and all types of hand
    tools (such as shovels rakes, lawn edging equipment, etc.), to maintain buildings, grounds, roads, trails,
    etc.

    Load and unload supplies and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc.

    Paints picnic tables and signs.

    Dig ditches and trenches, occasionally breaks up pavement, soil, or concrete; mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix.

    Performs janitorial duties for buildings.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
