    About the Position:
    The U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY is an academic institution located in the Hudson River Valley, 50 miles from New York City. The historic site is the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. West Point is a self contained city with housing, a Department of Public Works, libraries, hospital, fire department, chapels, and restaurants. Employees have access to Eisenhower Hall Theater, Hudson Valley's performing arts center, and recreational facilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Support Cybersecurity leadership with information related to implementing the United States Military Academy's (USMA's) Risk Management Framework (RMF).
    • Communicate with the organization's user communities to understand their operational needs and gain better understanding of impacts of cybersecurity related decisions.
    • Support the development and maintenance of accreditation documentation for the USMA's non-national security systems (non-NSS) and non NSS information systems.
    • Plan and execute the Cybersecurity budget and programs.
    • Plan and execute continuing and professional education for organizational members and USMA cybersecurity personnel.
    • Coordinate with USMA and other appropriate stakeholders to enable, prepare, and facilitate external threat, vulnerability, and other organizational related assessments.
    • Assist in the development and staffing of recommended remediation or mitigation of findings from assessments.
    • Deliver direct support to designated customers at the point of computer user/specialist interface, to include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and/or other customer assistance as required.
    • May be designated to serve as Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) and/or Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
