    The selectee for this position will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Total Force Management Program Office (N1), Civilian Workforce Policy and Sustainment Division (N11), Labor/Employee and Workforce Relations Branch (N11A) of Military Sealift Command (MSC).

    • You will serve as Labor/Employee Relations Branch Director supervising Branch employees performing work in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, various programs, and a full range of employee services for both Afloat and Ashore personnel.
    • You will make adjustments in equalization of workload to meet peak workload periods.
    • You will carry out EEO policies and communicate support to subordinates as well as cooperating in the investigation of formal and informal discrimination complaints.
    • You will exercise HR management responsibilities, including personnel selections, promotions, awards and recognition, disciplinary actions, job changes, details, etc.
    • You will provide staff training and additional development, schedule, and approve leave.
    • You will resolve departmental grievances and employee complaints utilizing ADR and mediation.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
