    You will serve as a Branch Head in the C6ISR SYSTEMS DIVISION; READINESS & TRAINING SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENACT DAM NECK VA.

    Responsibilities

    • You will be responsible for overall quality, timeliness, and fiscal aspects of Branch products, and for all commitments made by the Branch.
    • You will promote improved methods of conducting Research Development Testing and Evaluation (RDTE), identifying and satisfying customer requirements, and leveraging data and technologies to increase overall efficiency.
    • You will lead and manage a diverse branch workforce of engineers, scientists, technicians, and support staff.
    • You will plan, coordinate, and direct multiple complex engineering and scientific projects in a teaming environment (including contractor coordination), effectively interacting with senior managers throughout the DoD and private industry.
    • You will design and develop secure systems and applications and conduct technical security tests/evaluations of networks and computer systems to ensure compliance with appropriate Information Assurance controls.
    • You will integrate hardware control systems and communication protocols as they relate to cyber security vulnerabilities and protection schemes.
    • You will perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities including executing effective equal opportunity employment (EEO) hiring, performance development and evaluation, training, recommendations for promotion, and other personnel actions.
    • You will provide for personnel development, organize the branch effectively, conduct recruiting and hiring, and mentor subordinate section heads/group leads, program/project managers, and technical experts.
    • You will provide representation to and coordinate with customers and sponsors, and participate, as required, in various division, department, and corporate activities.
    • You will provide strategic vision and technical leadership to grow and maintain a diverse Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF).
    • You will provide technical, financial, and administrative leadership of an organization that conducts a broad spectrum of complex engineering and scientific projects managed by various Navy program offices, DoD or other government agencies.
    • You will manage the application of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cyber security.
