    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the AFC authority on Power and Energy, and inform decisions applicable to the Science and Technology Division mission and requirements
    • Communicate scientific themes on focus areas including advanced and novel power and energy materials, components and systems, mobile power and energy, power generation and storage, and power distribution and management.
    • Collaborates with scientific personnel of other laboratories, individual and collective science and technology advisory personnel from customer organizations, academia and test agencies in coordinating interrelated projects.
    • Makes decisions as to the suitability and feasibility of science and technology proposals and research projects.
    • Monitors progress of programs, to include discussion of broad area of research, time frames, priorities, and resource allocations.
