As an Associate Director for Section Three of the MFFR Branch, you will be responsible for supervising and/or executing the following major functions and activities:
The Associate Director may also be assigned to work as a team on a particular project with staff members of other Sections, within the MFFR Branch or other Branches of the Division, and/or with staff members of other Commission divisions and offices.
The supervisory responsibilities of the Associate Director further include planning and coordinating work; setting priorities and deadlines for completion of work that insure timely performance; and reviewing, revising, or rejecting work product to ensure it is satisfactory.
Bar Membership: Currently an active member in good standing of the bar of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

CT-15: You must have at least five successful years of legal practice, acquired after being admitted to the bar, commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of a legal position. At least one year of this experience must have been at a level of responsibility and difficulty to that of position at the next lower level in the federal service (e.g., GS/CT-14). Specialized experience includes demonstrated skill in research and analysis of sophisticated legal issues, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of commodities or related law and regulations, financial markets, corporate law, and general administrative law. Knowledge of the swap markets, including the commodity swap market, exchange-traded or over-the-counter derivative markets; financial product markets or other financial product dealing and intermediary activities. Ability to supervise others in carrying out complex projects.
Desired Qualifications include:
Education: Successful completion of a full course of study (JD) in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
Relocation. Relocation expenses will not be paid.
