    About the Position: Serve as national agency expert providing technical assistance, review, mentoring, training and authoritative consultation services covering automated control system architectures, designs, control hardware and software configurations, life-cycle maintenance, and cyber security and reliability compliance of all hardware and software components of the US Army Corps of Engineers' control automation systems primarily used at hydroelectric powerhouses.

    Responsibilities

    • This position has an impact on the continuing long-term control automation system maintenance at installation sites at major hydroelectric powerhouses throughout the US Army Corps of Engineers.
    • Serve as an authoritative consultant for services covering automated control system architectures, designs, control hardware and software configurations, life-cycle maintenance, and cyber security and reliability compliance.
    • Responsible for developing and implementing new control automation systems and techniques.
    • Analyze and evaluate methods and techniques developed by others, make recommendations regarding their application.
    • Lead in design and implementation of all necessary life-cycle modifications and new control automation and cyber security technology.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Occasional travel to attend conferences and/or to perform field work
