    Summary

    You will serve as a Network Engineer within the Network & Communications competency at the Washington Navy Yard of SPAWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
    This announcement uses the OPM Federal Wide direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
    NOTE: This position may be filled as a 0854/0855 (Engineer) or 1550 (Computer Scientist) series
    NOTE: The salary range includes 30.48% locality pay established for this geographic location

    Responsibilities

    • You will provide technical expertise in the analysis, requirements gathering, planning, execution, stakeholder reviews, and interface with external partners to assist with the development, design, and overall life cycle.
    • You will provide technical expertise in the analysis and implementation of network services, protocols, and modern technologies on a large enterprise network
    • You will conduct Contract Data Requirements list (CDRL) reviews, mange the road map for capability expansions and track programmatic and technical risks.
    • You will provide plans and documentation for the management of application services, system architectures, schedules, plans, and system life-cycle documentation.
    • You will provide systems engineering processes and integration of complex enterprise systems
    • You will provide advice/implement new and existing capabilities for enterprise infrastructure not limited to servers/routers/switches/firewalls/load balancers/storage devices, and software to deliver enterprise service capabilities to warfighter.
    • You will provide guidance for requirements, development, integration, test, test planning, test automation, and real-time environment test analysis.
    • You will provide recommendations for implementing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
