    This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Operational Risk, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and will research and analyze all-source information about significant current events; threat actors; campaigns; tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs); and malware to synthesize information and determine cause and effect.

    • Correlates technical cyber threat, vulnerability, and incident information from multiple sources to assess risk, to provide context regarding non-authored threat intelligence products, and to draw insights about possible implications and impacts to the financial services sector.

    • Conducts complex technical analysis and interprets all-source cybersecurity threat intelligence to identify threat, vulnerabilities, and malicious actors. Quantifies potential impact of threats and vulnerabilities, develops conclusions, and recommends supervisory process enhancements.

    • Prepares and presents oral and written research, analysis, and assessments for a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.

    • Provides subject matter expertise to support policy and training development, and individual supervisory cases.

    • Collaborates with the FDIC’s Senior Intelligence Officer, and RMS Senior Specialists for Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection in the above duties.

    Occasional travel - May require occasional overnight travel.
