    About the Position: Position is with the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone Arsenal, Alabama with duty in Corpus Christi, TX. The position provides direct support to the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modified, retrofit test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as focal point for planning, developing, and executing complex contractual strategies and provides warranted signatory authority to enter into contracts consistent with the needs of the organization for which service is being provided.
    • Serve as Lead Negotiator and representative on contractual issues at conferences and meetings.
    • Guide supporting contracting specialist in developing solicitations and implementing complex and unique acquisition techniques.
    • Analyze recommendations to formulate contracting strategies considering socio-economic programs, competition maximization, pricing arrangements, subcontracting, and matters requiring unique acquisition techniques.
    • Serve as intermediary between the team and upper management articulating assignments, plans subordinate work, trains or arranges training, provides input to the supervisor on performance management and personnel administration.
    • Manage the pre-award and post-award contracting functions involving contracts for low/high dollar values for both services and hardware acquisitions
