    Summary

    You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist in the Norfolk Security Branch (N0211) of Military Sealift Command (MSC).

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as the Deputy Command Security Manager for the MSC enterprise and is responsible for exercising day-to-day control over all elements of security for MSC in Norolk, Virginia.
    • You will serve as MSC Norfolk's technical authority and advisor on personnel and information security procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • You will arrange appropriate personnel security investigations necessary for security clearances of ashore civilians and civilian mariner (CIVMAR) personnel of MSC.
    • You will develop guidelines, procedures, and other materials for use by operating officials.
    • You will review all formal Administrative Inspections and follow-up reports to ascertain personnel and information security conditions aboard MSC vessels.
    • You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term and prepare schedules for completion of work.
    • You will advise top-level agency security and subject-matter managers on new developments and advances in personnel security techniques; and recommend methods for enhancing efficiency of personnel security systems.
