    A successful candidate in this position will serve as General Engineer or Physical Scientist to oversee Environmental Restoration oversight of the LLNL Management and Operations (M&O) contractor executed CERCLA projects.

    Responsibilities



     As an Environmental Restoration Project Manager, you will:

    • Assesses and provides performance results to LFO and to the Department of Energy (DOE) and/or National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA); deals with a significant commitment of financial resources, new and untested technologies

    • Project goals and milestones; negotiates with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on legally enforceable cleanup standards and remedies to environmental cleanup problems.

    • Conducts walkthrough inspections of the CERCLA program remediation facilities for the purposes of identifying hazards, incidences of non-compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines, as well as identifying potential problem areas.

    • Conducts oversight of the LLNL Management and Operations (M&O) contractor executed CERCLA projects while managing complex and technologically challenging ER projects at both LLNL Sites.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel is required for this position of about less than 10% of the time.
