    The primary purpose of this position is to function as an Electronics Engineer serving in a developmental capacity performing assignments using knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies of engineering.

    Responsibilities

    • GS-07: Performs developmental assignments in the application of established principles, techniques, methods, and procedures of professional electronics engineering in the area of installation, operations, and maintenance.
    • GS-07: Performs recurring assignments. Independently performs recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity.
    • GS-07: Uses engineering manuals, standard publications, and technical material to obtain information and pertinent data for use by higher level engineers, contractors and/or customers.
    • GS-07: Selects and uses relevant computer software applications such as information management programs, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs and project tracking programs to assist higher grade engineers in solving problems.
    • GS-09: Performs conventional assignments in the application of professional principles, techniques, methods, and procedures of electronics engineering in the area of installation, operations, and maintenance.
    • GS-09: Performs recurring assignments. Independently performs work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity.
    • GS-09: Uses engineering manuals, standard publications, technical material, and a wide variety of reference materials to obtain information and pertinent data for use by higher level engineers, contractors, and/or customers
    • GS-09: Uses performance monitoring and quality assurance principles and methods to validate work. Assists in preparation of reports and technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action.
    • GS-11: Performs a wide range of developmental assignments involving many different and unrelated engineering processes and methods in the application of professional electronics engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
    • GS-11: Performs recurring assignments. Uses judgment and experience to make decisions. Assignments at this level are designed to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform at the next higher performance level.
    • GS-11: Uses engineering manuals, standard publications, technical material, and a wide variety of reference materials to obtain information and pertinent data for use by higher level engineers, contractors, and/or customers.
    • GS-11: Keeps abreast of emerging technologies and professional developments to maintain currency in the field and for application to work assignments.
    • GS-12: Plans and carries out assignments for projects involved in adapting the software programs used on specific computer systems.
    • GS-12: Performs engineering activities related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware/software products for Electronic Warfare Systems, Operational Flight Programs, and Airborne Systems support equipment.
    • GS-12: Performs analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects.
    • GS-12: Performs project management responsibilities to determine the business and technical needs of customers.
