The Federal Housing Finance Agency's (FHFA) mission is to ensure the Housing Government-sponsored Enterprises operate in a safe and sound manner so they serve as a reliable source of liquidity and funding for housing finance and community investment.
Incumbent selected will conduct examination activities including gathering information, conducting interviews, and assessing information, all related to fair lending.
Incumbent selected will perform the following additional duties:
Conducts examination activities including gathering information, conducting interviews, and assessing information, all related to fair lending. Follows applicable FHFA guidance and procedures, as well as assist to develop new procedures for emerging fair lending issues.
Performs appropriate examination procedures, adapting standard procedures and techniques to identified issues/risks. During the course of the examination, the examination specialist ensures an accurate understanding of the key risks, processes and controls, and the factual basis for examination findings.
Follows supervisory guidance to ensure that the development of work product is completed according to policy and program guidelines and standards.
Draws conclusions, formulates recommendations, and prepares findings memoranda within established timeframes. Communicates examination findings and their bases to OFLO management.
Keeps abreast of emerging issues and trends in fair lending, as well as issues and events that may affect the continued safe and sound operations of the regulated entities. As assigned, provides written analysis and recommendations for issues requiring agency approval or attention.
Conducts fair lending risk assessment and prioritization activities with assistance from OFLO team members and under the supervision of the manager of OFLO.
Develops knowledge of issues, trends, and advances in fair lending and fair lending supervision of large, complex financial institutions.
Follows supervisory guidance to ensure that the development of work product is completed according to policy and program guidelines and standards
