    The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the principal advisor to the Under Secretary and Director on the application of information technology (IT) to support and improve the Agency’s business processes. The Office of Organizational Policy and Governance (OPG) provide the management and oversight of enterprise Information Technology (IT) strategies, guidance, policies, and agency-wide cybersecurity. This position is located in the Process Performance and Planning Division (PPPD) that is responsible for the establishment of Information Technology (IT) policies and standards, improvement of IT processes, measurement of OCIO performance, strategic IT planning; and provides other services including management of data calls.
    This position will be responsible for:

    •  Supporting the planning of Robotic Process Automation projects.
    •  Coordinating with Business units and OCIO partners to ensure the development of bots meet requirements.
    •  Developing software robots to automate processes.
    •  Documenting existing processes, analyzing gaps and other problems to create new processes that will be used to deploy bot prototypes in production.
    •  Providing advice and recommendations in the rapidly evolving RPA field.
    •  Representing the office in committees, meetings, including the Federal and USPTO Communities of Practice for RPA.
