    Summary

    You will serve as a HEALTH PHYSICIST in the RADIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING DIVISION, Code 105.2, of PSNS and IMF.

    Responsibilities

    • You will review work instructions that have a potential for high personnel radiation exposure or the spread of radioactive contamination from the standpoint of radiological health and safety of personnel.
    • You will conduct reviews of radiological work in progress to determine the level of compliance with established radiological controls.
    • You will assess and investigate unusual radiological control problems.
    • You will assist with preventing and controlling incidents and accidents during routine overhaul situations.
    • You will accomplish the training requirements of various Shipyard and NAVSEA Instructions.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
