    *THIS POSITION IS BEING ADVERTISED THROUGH THE DIRECT-HIRE AUTHORITY (DHA) FOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHEMATICS (STEM) AND CYBERSECURITY POSITIONS*

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Lead Electrical Engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the General Engineering Section of the New England District (NAE).
    • Provide expert electrical products, services, and support for electrical and electronic features on a wide range of projects.
    • These projects include; Military, Civil Works, International and Interagency Support (IIS), and Hazardous and Toxic Radiological Waste (HTRW) programs.
    • Provide expert electrical engineering planning, design, review, and investigation for the full range of electrical systems.
    • Review and approve electrical engineering features of planning, design, and construction documents developed by in-house staff, other USACE districts, Architect- Engineer (A-E) firms, and construction contractors.
    • Provide expertise to analyze and resolve complex and critical problems as needed to achieve the mission.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight business travel required up to 10% of the time.
