CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE IDAHO AIR NATIONAL GUARD OR THOSE ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP
This position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Air Control Squadron (ACS) and is part of the Theatre Air Control System directly subordinate to the Air Operations Center. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, evaluate, and train activities of the Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) mission which includes the Air Battle Manager (ABM) and Weapons Director (WD) career fields. This position is required to maintain qualification as an instructor/evaluator/trainer for ABM or WD. Provides training for advanced instructor techniques, student assessment, and evaluation criteria. This position also supervises any combination of the following programs: Training (DOT), Standards and Evaluation (CCV), Weapons and Tactics (DOK), and Mission Training Planning (MTP). Serves as an ABM or WD as a CRC crew member performing mission operations duties in support of combat, peacetime, humanitarian and Personal Recovery (PR) missions; to perform unit air operations command/control and related staff support duties.
Performs as an instructor for the Air Battle Manager/Weapons Director position. Ensures training encompasses the full spectrum of theory, formal classroom and actual live, distributive and simulation missions on Battle Management Systems functions. Determines training requirements by analyzing unit training objectives, missions, combat readiness reports, Training Review Boards, Standard/Evaluation reports and directives. Prepares local course outlines to include: operation of complex classified electronic and telecommunications equipment, involving audio and video programming equipment, high powered transmitters, receivers, antenna systems, and communications terminal equipment; basic crewmember duties and responsibilities; safety precautions in an electronic environment; psychological factors and mission procedures. Develops lesson plans in accordance with syllabus courseware. Develops, establishes, validates and maintains unit computer systems training programs using operation training and tracking software. Monitors the training status of personnel and ensures that supplemental and/or remedial training is accomplished. Develops unit mission section specific instructional standards, training plans, tests, lesson plans, and other training materials. Identifies resource and funding requirements. Performs cost analysis, task analysis, and student load factor analysis. Evaluates training program effectiveness. Leads or participates in process improvement teams to recommend improvements to instructional methods or processes. Works with training contractors. Participates in workshops and course reviews. Participates in conferences and recommends course changes. Provides feedback on contractor courseware and instructional effectiveness. Schedules upgrade and proficiency training for personnel. Schedules and conducts training for instructors and examiners on instructional methodology, student assessment and training techniques to develop instructor proficiency. Conducts training for worldwide capability to include initial, upgrade and proficiency training to established standards and Air Force Instructions (AFI's). Conducts tests of sophisticated electronic communications systems. Interfaces with maintenance and contractor personnel to ensure compliance with technical manuals, regulations, and work standards. Ensures continuing classroom and crew training device instruction on continuous programmed weapons systems upgrades to communications and mission radar systems. Monitors and evaluates individual training accomplishments. Applies existing or devises new measurement tools. Maintains current records of academic and positional ground training. Counsels students, evaluates student's potential, and makes determinations and readiness for evaluation, and recommends/initiates military classification action as appropriate.
Conducts training that maintains the highest level of combat mission-ready proficiency of assigned crewmembers, instructors, and examiners. Ensures training effectively covers all tasks on master task listing and current regulations/directives /instructions and promptly incorporates new training objectives and changes in procedures. Coordinates with scheduling and training offices in the development of training scenarios, which provide effective and efficient upgrade, proficiency, and currency training, maximizing resources. Reviews training records to ensure timely completion and proper documentation. Maintains proficiency as a mission-ready qualified instructor by passing written and academic standardization/evaluation examinations to demonstrate knowledge and abilities required by the position.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Work involves supervising or performing administrative or technical work involved in the provision of transportation service.
Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight. Experience in nonroutine pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems. *For positions requiring supervisory functions; experience which included responsibility for the supervision and management of personnel.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
--Mastery knowledge of battle management procedures, air threat analysis, allocation, distribution, and positioning of air weapons systems, air control procedures, tactics and techniques, operating procedures and relationship among air, ground, and naval forces.
--Knowledge of theater ground and air activities, rules of engagement, US and allied forces and enemy aircraft performance characteristics as well as armament.
--Thorough knowledge of weapons control fundamentals, meteorology, flying directives and aircraft system operating procedures.
--Knowledge of surveillance and data equipment, surveillance situation analysis, detection, tracking, reporting, display and dissemination of air situation and tactical threat information.
--Knowledge and skill in weapons control as well as airspace and data link management including air traffic separation standards.
--Thorough knowledge of radar operation fundamentals, characteristics, and limitations of surveillance, Command and Control, and mission systems.
--Comprehensive knowledge of inter-operability and integration of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence.
--Comprehensive knowledge and skills of operating radar, data link, and communications systems requirements.
--Knowledge of mission planning activities and the knowledge and skill to interpret Air tasking Orders and Special Instructions.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in fields listed below leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the requirements for 6 months of specialized experience. Education - Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.
