    This position is located in Network Services, Office of IT Services Management (ITSM), Center for Information Technology (CIT). The Network Services mission is to provide leadership for the determination of the NIH data network and telecommunications needs at all levels and to oversee the development of appropriate IT infrastructure support and security.This includes NIH's 100 gigabit network backbone, wireless services to 20,000 + plus people on a daily basis and remote access services

    • Serves as the Chief of Network Services, and is responsible for providing management, leadership, direction, coordination and day-to-day guidance for the Network Services Team.
    • Provide integrated planning, management, and strategy across all network services, including wireless. cellular, security functions, remote access and VPN.
    • Advises Director, Deputy Director and senior staff on all aspects of the Center's services.
    • Ensures secure and reliable operational availability of all IT infrastructure and related services 24 hours a day.
    • Manages continuity of operations during emergencies.
    • Manages the planning, execution, operation and assessment of the Center for Information Technology (CIT) Information Technology services.
