This vacancy is open to Department of Veteran Affairs applicants in the local Washington, DC commuting area who are eligible for priority consideration under the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) only.
The incumbent reports to the Chief of Staff (COS) or Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS)
serving as the primary link between the OUSB senior leaders and other executive staff
and key offices within VBA and with other VA offices, federal agencies, and a variety of
external groups and organizations on a wide range of issues related to the organization;
policies, practices, and procedures governing VBA programs and services.
There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
The Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) provides eligible displaced VA competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
