    About the Position: This position is located in the Office of the Commanding General, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Rucker is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as Protocol Specialist in a Protocol Office exercising oversight of the organization's functions to coordinate domestic and foreign visits.
    • Review and analyze completed protocol actions to determine lessons learned and to adjust procedures where necessary.
    • Plan, coordinate, execute and direct the conduct of official social functions.
    • Plan, coordinate and oversee appropriate air and/or surface transportation.
    • Plan and coordinate budget and momentary resources in planning number and type of official social functions such as award presentations.
    • Develop itineraries to ensure compatibility with the scope of the event, to include social events, host ceremonies, briefings, transportation and escort support.
    • Assure that each visit or function fit the precise needs of each situation concerning all of the particulars of protocol, such as technical and personal interest.
