    This position is located in the Front Office of the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES).  The OES mission statement is to advance America’s security and prosperity through international leadership on oceans , environment, science, space, and health.

    • Receives and makes proper disposition of telephone calls coming into the office. Determines nature of the request. Routes calls and visitors based upon knowledge of programs and operations.
    • Maintains daily calendar, establishes priorities, schedules, meetings and appointments with the Deputy Assistant Secretary.
    • Prepares travel plans, travel orders, and travel vouchers for Front Office personnel.
    • Reviews incoming and outgoing correspondence for compliance with established policies and office procedures.
    • Serves in a liaison capacity between senior level officials and staff, as well as other offices in the Department.
