The Office of Energy Projects within the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates to serve as Engineering Trainees (internship positions) in the Washington, DC Office. Positions are available in the Office's natural gas and hydropower divisions; the mission of the Office is to facilitate potential benefits to the nation through the review of natural gas and hydropower infrastructure proposals and minimize risks to the public associated with FERC jurisdictional energy infrastructure. If selected, applicant must provide proof of continuing education through either the Summer or Fall 2020 semesters. To meet the definition of a student, applicants must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree-seeking program.

- Perform developmental and on-the-job training assignments.
- Assists senior staff in reviewing technical materials relating to jurisdictional projects.
