    This vacancy is for a Mathematical Statistician in the Economic Statistical Methods Division located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

    This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Mathematical Statistician, GS-1529-13, FPL: 13 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

    • Design, plan, and implement production, research and evaluation projects related to design, sampling, post-processing, imputation and estimation (design-based and Bayesian approaches) activities for surveys and/or census activities.
    • Provide guidance and advices for various methodological issues related to statistical processes such as sampling, weighting, estimation, quality control.
    • Write and run computer programs to perform production processes, analysis, and research and evaluation activities related to design, sampling, post-processing, imputation and estimation.
    • Provide leadership and/or collaborate on work with one or more staff members on a regular basis to meet goals and objectives of statistical production, research and evaluation projects.
