    The duties of the position are:
    -Analyzes existing or proposed systems, strategies, services, or other health-related matters for long range implementation and administration of the public health program.
    -Analyzes complex public health policies, programs and statistical standards to advise senior management on public health policies, operations, products, and services.
    -Prepare and present comprehensive program reviews to include recommendations on curtailing or expanding programs and program effectiveness.
    -Prepares directives, issuances, memoranda, policy statements, and legislative proposals to introduce new initiatives and to recommend effective operations consistent with overall program objectives.
    -Analyzes health legislation, regulations, executive directives, departmental policy issuances, as well as, other influential statements of policy; analyzes existing or proposed initiatives identifying specific concerns of importance to the organization.
    -Engages in legislative tracking and analysis as well as other environmental scanning and policy research to identify public health policy recommendations.
