The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, is looking to hire one or more experienced attorneys to work as an AUSA in its criminal division, Economic Crimes Section (ECS). ECS handles complex investigations and prosecutions of white-collar offenses, including but not limited to healthcare fraud, investment fraud, identify theft, public corruption, money laundering, environmental crimes, and other financial crimes targeting businesses, individuals, and governmental institutions. Successful candidates should have at least five years' legal experience, excellent academic credentials, strong character, and a commitment to public service. Prosecutorial experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should also have a proven track record of leading complex investigations and matters; strong writing skills; demonstrable analytical skills; and the interpersonal skills to work with and lead an investigative team in matters that frequently involve victims.
This announcement may be used to fill additional positions in the criminal division in Tampa. The U.S. Attorneys' Office in Tampa currently has five sections in its criminal division, ECS, Violent Crime and Narcotics, Transnational Organized Crime, Special Victims Section, and National Security and Cybercrime.
