    Serves as a Research Computer Scientist providing engineering, computer architecture, and project management support of high-performance computing (HPC) systems in the areas of systems engineering, software development, data processing pipelines, data analytics, and/or facilities engineering; and supports HPC research, development, and operations for NASA projects and programs. This position will be located in the Advanced Computing Branch within the NASA Advanced Supercomputing Division.

    • The Research Computer Scientist will perform one or more of the following duties within the Advanced Computing Branch:
    • Supports development/management of high-performance computing (HPC) facility including hardware (computer architecture, storage systems, networking, etc.) and software (operating systems, file systems, systems software, tools, etc.) components.
    • Develops and manage services for HPC system users, including user support and outreach, application optimization and productivity, visualization and data analysis, data analytics and machine learning, and science data processing pipelines.
    • Manages projects involving the design, development, and/or operations of HPC systems and associated facilities.

    Occasional travel - Travel may be required for training or other work-related duties
