    Summary

    You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Power and Energy Systems Division, Airborne and Space Energy Systems Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

    The ND-05 pay band is equivalent to the GS-14/15 pay grades.

    Responsibilities

    • You will be the leader and technical authority of the Power and Energy Systems Division for airborne and space energy storage systems research, development, test, and engineering.
    • You will focus on the development of capability, including personnel and infrastructure, to meet future energy storage needs across naval aviation and space enterprises, specifically in the area of lithium ion energy storage technology integration.
    • You will lead the development and planning for airborne and space energy storage engineering career fields, improving the Divisions knowledge of airborne and space energy storage systems, related technologies, phenomena, and future technologies.
    • You will serve as ambassador to the airborne and space energy storage systems research, development, test, and engineering community.
    • You will be responsible for expanding Department of Defense, industry, academia, and other government agency leadership awareness of Crane's Research, Development, Test and Evaluation capabilities relative to airborne energy storage systems.
    • You will advise fellow engineers, scientists, and technicians to synthesize technical courses of action, root-cause analyses and technical solutions to system performance issues.
    • You will formulate, defend, and execute technical strategies for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation and technology transition projects through the use of expert planning skills and stewardship of multiple technically complex efforts.
