    You will serve as a Pipefitter in the Research and Development Services Division, Support Services Branch, Shop Services Section of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

    • You will work from blue prints, sketches, photographs or brief instructions to plan and lay out the installation and modification of conventional piping systems and those not common to plumbing and pipefitting trades.
    • You will repair and maintain distribution systems of steam, water, condensate compressed air, natural gas oil gasoline, various chemicals, sewage, chilled water, vacuum, oxygen, hydrogen, helium, both in liquid and gaseous states.
    • Use various techniques, such as wiping and pouring lead joints, hot air welding, etc., to support high-pressure systems, align pipes and join, seal, and test systems and equipment for proper pressure, leak-free joints, and operation.
    • You will plan and lay out the installation and modification of various low-pressure systems, including the routings, openings slant and level of gas sprinkler systems, sinks and experimental equipment.
