This position is located at one of the Service Unit Hospitals or clinics under the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, in the Division of Public Health. This position will support efforts related to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
- Design program plans to mobilize community partnerships and resources for a plan of action to address emerging infectious and communicable diseases and problems.
- Conduct and participate in community assessment to define interventions by identifying subpopulations at risk for disease and/or disability. Implement a surveillance method for community health trends and status. Evaluate health trends and risk factors.
- Provide health education to individuals, families and community groups in various settings. Inform, educate, and empower people to make appropriate and informed decisions about health issues.
- Develop, implements and evaluate plans of care. Consult with health care team members to administer the therapeutic measures as prescribed by the health team.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
