    Summary

    You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist (GS-14/15 equivalent) in the Technical Director Office, Commanding Officer of NAVSURFWARFCTR PANAMA CITY DIVISION. If selected, you will serve as the Mine Warfare (MIW) Capabilities Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • You will coordinate MIW system, mission, and vision development, concept development, and program management.
    • You will assess current and projected mission requirements, capabilities, and shortfalls relative to strategies, budgets, threat analysis, and execution plans.
    • You will perform complex systems analysis within a warfare domain and in a joint command environment.
    • You will plan, direct, and resolve technical issues for MIW and C4I systems, and provide leadership for engineering, research, and development practitioners.
    • You will work with Fleet staffs and unit level personnel supporting advancement of MIW tactics, CONOPS and C4I systems through war games, experiments, and exercises.
    • You will coordinate MIW and MIW C4I technical efforts across the command's technical departments to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
    • You will make recommendations on technical matters, engineering practices, and processes related to MIW and MIW C4I capabilities, platforms, systems, and tools.
    • You will ensure development and delivery of products that will reflect the qualities of accuracy, technical rigor, standardization and responsiveness.
