    Responsibilities

    -Serves as Group Manager for the Estimating Services Group that specializes in preparing government cost estimates.  Cost Estimates are prepared at the planning, final design, and contract modification stages. Services include preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates, providing support for negotiated procurements, and analyzing bids and proposals.

    -Provides guidance and mentoring to Group staff involved in preparing the following levels of cost estimates; appraisal, feasibility, percent design, prevalidation, Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), and IGCE contract modification levels.  Coaches and mentors staff to successful accomplishment of work tasks. 

    -Plans and organizes the overall activities of the technical group and coordinates the schedule for work to be performed within the Estimating Services Group.

    -Performs peer reviews of technical products and assures an appropriate level of technical review is incorporated into group work products.  Peer and technical reviews are based on a solid understanding of engineering, construction and cost estimating principles. Group work products involve development of the following levels of Cost Estimates: appraisal, feasibility, percent design, pre-validation, Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), and IGCE contract modification levels.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Intermittent Travel is required.
