    Summary

    This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.

    This position is located at the Fort Thompson Indian Health Center, Fort Thompson, SD. This position will serve as the Director of the Human Services Department, which provides comprehensive behavioral/mental health services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and elderly patients and comprehensive outpatient alcohol/drug treatment services.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic health care services to patients and family members.
    • Provide counseling and education related to prevention of disease, management of chronic medical conditions and maintenance of good physical and mental health. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the medical team to provide quality patient care
    • Modify, design and implement employee health services and programs. Organize work, set priorities, determine goals and strategies, coordinate with other departments, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes.
    • Assists the Clinical Director and CEO with ongoing assessment of mental health needs and outpatient alcohol/drug treatment needs.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
